This modern take on the traditional beaded gourd instrument features a stainless steel shell surrounded by steel-beaded chains for a powerful, sizzling sound and added durability. It's very responsive, with bright-sounding rattles, shakes and scrapes that can create incredibly intricate rhythmic effects. While it's an essential instrument for Latin jazz, its uses are limited only by the imagination.
