Display the Friesland Dutch Ship right in your home or office! Built around 1663, the Friesland was a second rank vessel with 80 guns, now available as a museum-quality, fully assembled model. Master craftsmen meticulously handcraft these highly detailed wood models from scratch using historical photographs, drawings, and original plans.
Constructed from high-grade woods such as western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany, each model is built to scale using the plank-on-frame construction method, mirroring the actual shipbuilding process. This model requires hundreds of hours to complete and undergoes stringent quality control before leaving the workshop.
The Friesland model features unique two-tone wood colors on the hull, three decks, and two rows of formidable cannons on each side. With a securely connected bowsprit and three large masts, advanced rigging and lines are painstakingly knotted and fastened by hand. Each yard boasts hand-stitched unfurled sails made from fine linen.
Metal anchors and a wooden rudder are visible at the front and rear of the ship. On the deck, there are stationed cannons, an authentic hand-built lifeboat with ribs and planks, and a wooden cabin, along with many other handcrafted ornaments. The exquisite detail of the admiral's quarter at the stern includes beautifully crafted metal lanterns, statues, and decorations.
This model comes standard with a solid wood base and a brass nameplate. It's the perfect gift for home decorators, boat enthusiasts, or passionate collectors.
